Goodbye 2018!
Hi Frakas babes!
I am so excited to be sharing my December faves with you all! This month has been crazy busy from semester end projects, finals, holiday parties, and Christmas festivities. Now it’s time for New Years and I am so ready for 2019 and all the exciting things to come.
I picked this gorgeous dress up the other week to wear to the NYE house party I’m going to. I’m 5’10 so its always a struggle finding a dress that is long enough but this one is perfect because it is past my knees (honestly a first) but still fun & sassy because it has a high leg slit and is SO flattering because its bodycon from the ribs down. It’s also GOLD and SPARKLY so what’s not to love?!
If you’re doing something a bit more low key for New Years, this satin tie top is a great option. It can be styled so many ways! With a bralette, leather pants and a ton of gold necklaces, a cream lacy tank and high waisted jeans, or even a fitted turtleneck for a cute layered look. The options are seriously endless.
I always love New Years because I love the feeling of a “clean slate” and planning ahead on what the new year is going to bring.
Because December is a super crazy time for most of us, in the few days between Christmas and New Years I love to take some time to reflect on the past year and then set intentions for the following year.
Here is a few of my favourite “Looking Back at 2018” questions that provoke reflections. These are awesome conversation starters to do with your girlfriends/ family members/ significant others to go through everything 2018 brought to you.
I found this list from https://theartofsimple.net/new-years-eve-reflection-questions/ and a few of my favourite questions are:
- What was an unexpected joy this past year?
- What was an unexpected obstacle?
- What were the best books you read this year?
- Who were your most valuable relationships with?
- What was your biggest personal change from January to December of this past year?
- In what way(s) did you grow emotionally?
A few girlfriends and I went through the entire list during a wine night and each question brought up so many memories, lots of laughs, and even some tears. Let us know if you end up doing this “game” and who you did it with.
I hope these questions help you reminisce on the past year and allow you to set intentions on what you’d like to accomplish in the years to come!
See you in 2019,
Madison
